SWORN ENEMY: 'Total World Domination' First-Week Sales Revealed
June 24, 2009"Total World Domination", the new album from the New York hardcore/metal act SWORN ENEMY, sold around 540 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. (Note: Internet/digital sales **ARE** included in the SoundScan totals.) The CD landed at position No. 114 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
Like its much-lauded predecessor, "Maniacal", "Total World Domination" was recorded with producer Tim Lambesis (AS I LAY DYING) and "perfectly blends the band's old-school, beat-you-down hardcore style with a thrash metal infusion resulting in material that will tear your face off," according to a press release.
HardTimes.ca has uploaded video footage of SWORN ENEMY's June 9, 2009 performance in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Watch the 27-minute clip below.
After headlining an European tour earlier this year, SWORN ENEMY is already confirmed to return to European stages from the end of August until late September on the Hell On Earth tour 2009.
